Hair Dryers

Hair dryers have certainly come a long way from the late 19th century when they were invented.  The original models were stationary upright models that covered a large portion of the back of the head at once.  It wasn’t until 1920 that the first handheld hair dryer appeared.

Hair dryers can generally be used on a hot or cold setting.  Models typically use wire coils that heat rapidly when charged with an electric current.  Hot air is achieved when a fan inside the hair dryer blows air past the heated coils.

In recent years new materials and features have been added to enhance the performance of hair dryers.  Ceramic heating elements are a popular feature in modern hair dryers because of their ability to heat instantly.

The problem of static electricity in the hair has been addressed with the introduction of ionic operations which don’t produce the same amount of static as traditional hair dryers. Using a Professional Hair Styling Tools ensures a good hair day, every day!
